Brookhaven Townhomes, Houses & Condos

On July 31, 2012, voters approved the incorporation of Brookhaven. It is DeKalb County’s largest city with approximately 49,000 residents and twelve square miles. The City of Brookhaven officially opened its doors for business on December 17th, 2012.

You’ll find a wide array of home options in Brookhaven from cozy bungalows and Eco-friendly Craftsman style houses to new construction million-dollar luxury homes and homes built in the 1920’s in Historic Brookhaven surrounding Capital City Country Club and golf course. There are also condos and townhomes in a variety of price ranges.

Brookhaven is very conveniently located inside 285, just north of Buckhead, in Atlanta’s North DeKalb County in zip code 30319. Historic Brookhaven is located in Fulton County in the Sarah Smith Elementary school district.

Drive less, take MARTA. There is a Brookhaven MARTA rail station along with bus routes that will take you to numerous locations throughout Atlanta and Atlanta suburbs. The Brookhaven rail station offers free same day parking and paid long term parking.

Shopping & Dining

Since Brookhaven is home to DeKalb County’s largest city, the selection of cuisine will not disappoint. Town Brookhaven is the neighborhood’s pedestrian-friendly village that offers residents a wide selection of dining and shopping, as well as salons, gyms, and a movie theater.

Local favorites include Kaleidoscope Bistro and Pub that serves comfort food with a twist, gathering inspiration from Southern, Asian, Mediterranean, and Mexican flavors. For warm summer nights, enjoy tacos and margaritas on the rooftop of PURE Taqueria. During happy hour and sports games, locals have a go-to bar, The Righteous Room, which is dog-friendly and has a unique atmosphere, complete with a magnolia tree growing through the middle of the space.

Recreation

One great thing about Brookhaven are the bountiful outdoor activities available to residents. The Peachtree Golf Club is members only, but it’s one of the best courses in the country. Oh, and it’s solely devoted to golf – there’s no pool, country club, or tennis courts.
Silver Lake is something of a local treasure that surrounds the neighborhood. Complete with rowboat amenities, walking trails, and excellent bird-watching, this is the perfect place to get away from the Atlanta crowds, and enjoy peace and quiet.

Oh, and, of course, you have a couple of parks to choose from. Brookhaven park is pet-friendly, and it encompasses large lawns, a sports complex and playground, and grill pavilions. Murphy Candler Park is the largest in the neighborhood, totaling over 135 acres. Complete with sports fields, wetlands, a lake, tennis courts, a pool, playgrounds, and picnic areas, residents find their fair share of outdoor activities readily available.
